Kernfusion is a young band from Carinthia/Austria and was formed in the summer of 2017. Since then the four young musicians played lots of gigs across Austria.
While playing their own arrangements of tunes by legends such as Chick Corea and John Scofield, each band member constantly worked on own compositions, which lead to a big repertoire of originals. The first two singles “Guenhwyvar” and “Saiiku” were released this summer and are previews for a big album that’s coming soon.
The group is the winner of the 2018 Joe Zawinul Award and had it’s international debut on the Bratislava Jazz Days 2019.

Kernfusion ist eine junge Band aus Kärnten/Österreich. Die Gruppe wurde im Sommer 2017 gegründet. Seither spielten die vier jungen Musiker viele Konzerte in Österreich und dem Ausland.
Neben eigenen Arrangements von Jazz/Fusion Klassikern, arbeitet jedes Bandmitglied an eigenen Kompositionen, wodurch sich im Laufe der letzten zwei Jahre ein gemeinsames großes Repertoire an Originals gebildet hat.
Die Formation ist der Gewinner des Zawinulpreises 2018. Außerdem hatte die Gruppe ihr internationales Debut im Oktober 2019 an den “Bratislava Jazz Days”.
